Since 1845, Canadians have come together to celebrate the birth date of Queen Victoria. Born on May 24, 1819 Queen Victoria, a renowned figure, became one of the longest sitting monarchs in British history. To this day, Queen Victoria’s birth is celebrated throughout the Country, a day that is recognized as the federal statutory holiday known as Victoria Day.
